Delightful house in the neighborhood of the Royal Palace. What we like: Well we love the neighborhood (more below in neighborhood description), we love the garden, we love the garden cottage, we love the bright and cheerful nature of the house. Ground floor of the main house holds the livingroom, dining room, a full bathroom and the kitchen. Upstairs are three more bedrooms, one shared bathroom and a nice landing. House also has an attic which landlord is thinking about formatting to make into a nice usable space. The garden house (converted garage) has large French doors looking out onto a terrace and the garden. It also has a small kitchenette and full bathroom, so would work as a guest cottage if you prefer? Garden has lovely flowers including a climbing hydrangea sprawled over the top of the terrace lattice, a large walnut tree, a Bing Cherry tree and even a fig tree. Parking in the driveway. We love Cotroceni. It`s a leafy neighborhood of beautiful grand villas, nice restaurants and good cafes and summer terraces. Tennis courts can be rented and the Royal Botanical Garden as well as the Palace are here. The Opera house of Cotroceni is also walking distance. It`s just too far however if you have children going to any of the international schools. The area police station is around the corner and the proximity to the Presidential Palace (was the Royal Palace) means you have a strong police presence in both the uniformed and under-cover (secret service) variety.
